ClassicNewYorkHistory.com went live in 2015. The site was started to deliver well writen articles on the history of New York State. ClassicNewYork History strives to balance a mix of Academic writing with New York newspaper-style journalism.
Who We Are
ClassicNewYorkHistory.com was founded by Brian Kachejian, who still serves as the site’s editor-in-chief as well as one of the site’s leading journalists. Brian Kachejian is a Stony Brook University graduate with a BA in history and an MA in the Social Sciences. He is a certified New York State Public School teacher. His academic and journalism experiences provide the site with accuracy and professionalism in its research and news stories.
Well-established journalists and college professors have written and published many articles on the site. The site is also home to the real-life stories of people who grew up in all parts of the State of New York.
