The Complete Guide to NYC Michelin Star Restaurants (2025 Edition)

Michelin stars are only one way to understand New York dining, but they still offer a revealing map of the region’s culinary ambitions. The current selection stretches from formal tasting rooms and intimate omakase counters to restaurants built around Korean, Mexican, Indian, Scandinavian, French, and vegetable-driven cooking, showing how far fine dining has moved beyond any single neighborhood or tradition.

The New Yorker’s Guide to Every Michelin-Starred Restaurant in New York City and Westchester

The 2025 Michelin Guide recognizes 72 starred restaurants across New York City and Westchester County. Manhattan accounts for 63 restaurants, Brooklyn has six, Queens has one, and Westchester has two. No restaurants in the Bronx or Staten Island received a Michelin star in this edition.

The selection includes five restaurants with three Michelin stars, 15 with two stars, and 52 with one star. Michelin’s Green Star is a separate distinction recognizing restaurants with notable commitments to sustainable gastronomy, and those designations are identified where they apply.

Addresses, telephone numbers, and official websites are included below. Restaurant hours, reservation policies, and contact information can change, so confirm the latest details directly with the restaurant before visiting.

Important

This article presents restaurants that have been awarded Michelin stars, which are the highest distinction in the Michelin Guide. Michelin stars are awarded at an annual ceremony, typically held in the fall, when inspectors reveal which restaurants have earned new stars, retained existing ones, or lost them. A star signifies exceptional quality as judged by Michelin’s anonymous inspectors across five criteria: quality of ingredients, mastery of flavor and technique, the personality of the chef in the cuisine, value for money, and consistency between visits. One star indicates a “very good restaurant in its category,” two stars mean “excellent cooking worth a detour,” and three stars signify “exceptional cuisine worth a special journey.”

This is the most updated list. The 2026 Stars have not been awarded yet. We will update the list as soon as they are.
